USE OF DONATIONS

One Unit: $500 for One Firefighter-Year

Donations are pooled in the Clean Gear Program, not tied to a single invoice. Each $500 funds one firefighter's year of advanced decontamination access, and funding flexes to each firefighter's actual exposure and equipment.

PROVIDER QUALIFICATION

How Providers Qualify

Providers qualify through certification and performance-based standards. No single manufacturer, machine or provider is the only eligible solution.

01

Recognized Certification

Verification or certification to the applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) gear-care standard.

02

Manufacturer-Approved Processes

Cleaning methods the gear manufacturer approves for the specific garments.

03

Performance Data

Contaminant-removal results, labeled with what was tested and who did the testing.

04

Inspection Capability

Trained advanced inspection of seams, barriers and components.

05

Logistics and Turnaround

Reliable shipping, handling and turnaround that keeps firefighters in service.

06

Transparent Pricing

Clear service pricing that lets us track what each sponsorship buys.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Related-Party Safeguards

  • Founders and board members disclose any financial relationship with providers, manufacturers or applicant departments.
  • Anyone with a conflict recuses from the related decision.
  • Related-party transactions, if any, are disclosed in our public filings.
  • Provider selection follows the published qualification criteria above.

SPONSORSHIP METHODOLOGY

How We Count

  • A firefighter is "qualified" once their department's application is approved.
  • A firefighter is "sponsored" once a full $500 is allocated to them.
  • Gifts under $500 are pooled until a full sponsorship is funded.
  • Services delivered are reported separately from dollars raised.
